We’re in the last few days of the astrological year. If astrology is measured in cycles, the end of the zodiac is not unlike the end of the lunar month. We’re in a liminal space, a time to reflect, integrate, and prepare for another chapter, one that will take us into 2026.

As the Sun gets to the end of Pisces, it’s a reminder that Pisces is the sign of the two fishes. There’s a lot for us to discover in this symbology. What are we leaving behind and what are we taking with us? What’s our relationship with the material and the spiritual? Every cycle serves one fish or the other. Thus is the duality of life.

Before the Sun can leave Pisces, it will make a conjunction to Neptune tomorrow, a planet that is also poised to leave Pisces. Whereas the Sun spends only four weeks in Pisces, Neptune spends a total of 14 years in Pisces — two very different scales of time, obviously.

Typically when the Sun and Neptune merge we can feel like we are floating. Our dreams may be more vivid. Or perhaps we want to sleep more. Neptune, especially in Pisces, has pulled at the edges of our reality over the last decade. On one hand, it has helped us to go beyond this world, to seek out answers to great questions, and to find healing. On the other hand, perhaps we have swum far away from ourselves and anything that’s familiar.

Neptune arrives in Aries on March 30, returning to Pisces on October 22, and then back to Aries on January 26, 2026, where it will remain for 13 years.

Don’t forget that we’re in eclipse season, a pivotal time that happens every six months, highlighting key areas of our lives, depending on where the eclipses are. You can get my webinar on The Eclipses of March 2025 and learn why eclipses are part of the needle and thread that sews together the tapestry of our lives. Includes sign-by-sign guide.
