The Aquarius Sun and Uranus square off, an energy that shifts the earth beneath our feet. While not an uncommon astrological energy, it builds upon a story of awakening and reinvention that has reshaped our world since 2018 and 2019.
As I said in yesterday’s update, Uranus is an evolutionary energy. It acts as a force. It is part of a cohort of planets — Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto — that exist outside the bounds of Saturn, which is to say outside the bounds of our manifested world, our visible reality.
Evolutionary planets work in great arcs, chapters of time that go beyond the everyday. For example, it takes Uranus 84 years to make one full rotation of the heavens, spending seven years in each zodiac sign. Neptune takes 164 years, spending 14 years in a sign. Pluto, on the other hand, takes 248 years to travel the zodiac, spending anywhere from 11 to 30 years in a sign. In our lifetimes, we may only experience Pluto transiting or passing through three zodiac signs.
From May to November 2018, Uranus made its arrival in Taurus for the first time in our lives (unless we were alive in the 1930s.) Again it returned in March 2019 where it has slowly made its way through the sign of Taurus and its themes of money and the material world, stability and security, food and agriculture, earthly resources and assets. While Uranus will preview Gemini from July 7 to November 7 this year, we’re still wrapping up our time with Uranus in Taurus and the stories that have been woven into our lives over the last six years. Whatever realizations, jolts of consciousness, and desires to make a change are born of a process that began long ago.
