Big news as both Pluto and Uranus make moves. On September 1, Uranus turns retrograde followed by Pluto’s reentry into Capricorn. As evolutionary planets, Pluto and Uranus speak of transformation and awakening, shifting our consciousness.
First, let’s look at Pluto in Capricorn. As you may recall, Pluto has spent nearly two decades in Capricorn, first arriving in the sign in 2008. Pluto moves so slowly that it spends decades in one zodiac sign. (Eleven years for Pluto in Scorpio versus 30 years for Pluto in Taurus, which won’t happen in our lifetime.)
When Pluto first arrived in Aquarius in March 2023 and again in January 2024, we began a shift of eras, although one that is not quite complete. This Sunday, Pluto revisits Capricorn for the series finale, a time to wrap up a story that began way back in January 2008.
Wherever Pluto is, that area of our life has to transform. And surely a key area of our lives, depending on where Capricorn is in our astrology, looks nothing like it did in 2008, whether physically or on a soul and consciousness level. Then there’s Uranus Retrograde. Not as slow a mover as Pluto, Uranus nonetheless spends seven years in each zodiac sign. Uranus first entered the sign of Taurus in May 2018 and again in March 2019. The area of our lives that Taurus governs also looks nothing like it did six years ago. There’s been a shift, an awakening, a radical transformation — especially a shift around money and income, value and worth, material stability and security, food and environment.
