Jupiter, the planet that teaches us to explore and learn about the world, changes signs. It arrives in Aquarius after a year long stay in Capricorn, turning its attention from earth to air, from manifestation to ideas and connection, society and humanity.
For the next year, starting December 19, 2020, we will find our greatest growth and wisdom in all things Aquarius. Think social causes and social justice. Think science and technology. Think network and systems.
With that in mind, we may see technological advances and innovations while Jupiter is in Aquarius. We may find new ways to navigate the pandemic. We may put our faith in science and intelligence above all. We may be more motivated to find connection in this disconnected times.
Jupiter will dip out of Aquarius on May 21, 2021 for a preview of Pisces, returning to Aquarius on July 28, 2021. Jupiter will arrive back in Pisces on December 28, 2021.
Aries and Aries Rising — Community, friendships, social causes, ideals. For you, Jupiter in Aquarius is about new friendship, expanded social connection, and arrival of new groups or growth within existing communities. You may also be turning your attention to larger social causes and matters of equity and justice. It’s all about the future as well as your hopes and dreams for the road ahead.
Taurus and Taurus Rising — Career, professional growth, ambitions. For you, Jupiter in Aquarius is about new professional opportunities and directions. You may see a change in your career such as a title change or perhaps even a promotion. But with greater changes in the mix, how will this new time pave the way for some of the personal changes you’ve made the past couple of years? It’s time to expand your place in the world, which may be a different direction than you’ve been previously going.
Gemini and Gemini Rising — Faith, meaning, travel, education, law. For you, Jupiter in Aquarius is about turning your attention outward. Your biggest growth may be through higher education, such as getting another degree or taking steps to get the education you need to suit your professional aims. It’s also a time to figure out what you believe in and you may be navigating matters of faith and meaning, especially after everything you’ve been through 2018-2020. You may be interacting more with other countries, other cultures, or even visiting them if at all possible.
Cancer and Cancer Rising — Inner work, the deep self, assets, wealth. For you, Jupiter in Aquarius is about going deep within. The planet of faith helps you to navigate your darkest parts, your hidden self. Your greatest growth may come through counseling, therapy, or other emotional or spiritual development. But this is also a time where assets, wealth, and even debt may play a role. You may be spending as fast as you can accumulate or you may be making a big purchase, one that needs a loan or mortgage.
Leo and Leo Rising — Relationships, other people, connection. For you, Jupiter in Aquarius is about relationships. New people may be coming into your life. Your greatest growth may come through partnership and social connection. If you are not in a serious relationship, this may be a time of a new serious relationship coming in, especially with Saturn also in Aquarius. Or, an existing relationship takes on a new milestone.
Virgo and Virgo Rising — Health, fitness, work, projects, service. For you, Jupiter in Aquarius is about getting your physical life in order and making lasting, positive changes in how you take care of your body. Your greatest growth may come through new regimens, schedules, and projects, especially those that utilize new technologies. There may be changes in your diet and fitness practice.
Libra and Libra Rising — Creativity, self expression, identity, talent, children. For you, Jupiter in Aquarius is about expressing your individuality. Your greatest growth may come through new creative endeavors, working on your talents, or even pregnancy and children. With Saturn also alongside Jupiter, it’s a time to take yourself seriously and put your stamp on the world.
Scorpio and Scorpio Rising — Home, family, roots, foundation. For you, Jupiter in Aquarius is about putting down roots. Your greatest growth may come in the home, from a big move to people moving in or even creating your own family. Your living environment needs to be completely supportive and so you’re creating new space for yourself to feel right at home, which may entail spending more money on making the home as you need it to be.
Sagittarius and Sagittarius Rising — Voice, communication, learning, travel. For you, Jupiter in Aquarius is about exercising the mind. Your greatest growth may come through classes and workshop. You may even be teaching them yourself. There is a focus on languages, perhaps even foreign languages, as well as writing and speaking. Travel and movement are highlighted as well.
Capricorn and Capricorn Rising — Money, income, material needs, material stability. For you, Jupiter in Aquarius is about creating more income and gathering the resources you need. Your greatest growth may come through your material life and it’s classic astrology for Jupiter to bring a windfall or an increase in earning. (Although Saturn is also in Aquarius, so don’t bet on this.) You may also be spending more as you acquire the things you need to feel rooted and grounded.
Aquarius and Aquarius Rising — The self, new beginnings, new initiatives, personal growth. For you, Jupiter in Aquarius is about new beginnings. Alongside Saturn, also in Aquarius, this is a time of initiatives, leadership, and new journeys. Jupiter is the archetype of the teacher, so you may be sharing your wisdom as a teacher, writer, or publisher. Jupiter also makes things bigger and you may be getting bigger. This includes possible pregnancy if that is relevant to your life.
Pisces and Pisces Rising — Inner wisdom, spirituality, retreat, existential search. For you, Jupiter in Aquarius is about going deep within. Your greatest growth may come internally or spiritually over the coming year. You may feel that it’s time to pull back from the world, to rest, dream, and recuperate. This marks the end of a long journey for you, a journey that began in 2010 when Jupiter was last in Pisces.
