So here we are, the third of seven exact Uranus/Pluto squares — the defining astrological aspect of a generation. While the first aspect was last May, the square encompasses a larger swath of time that is and will be notable for intense, revolutionary change. Make no mistake this is potent energy, but not anything you should be unfamiliar with at this point. You’ve already been making the changes and this is merely another chapter in an unfolding story centered on the years of 2012 to 2015.
At its heart the Uranus/Pluto square is about breaking free from old structures. But it’s not an easy process. On the Pluto in Capricorn side of things, even as the infrastructure crumbles around us, we’ve dug our heels in against any changes. On the Uranus in Aries side, we’re ready to throw it all out the window and usher in a new era both on the personal and macro level. Squares are great motivators; they produce a much needed tension that fosters achievement. Opening squares (90 degrees), as this aspect is, The square is about crisis and integration.
