Venus is finally in Taurus after three months of back and forth sluggish energy! In fact Venus is quite at home in Taurus, the sign it rules. Over the next four weeks, until July 4, we’ll experience Venus’s love of pleasure, earthy sensuality, and material abundance.
Think back to February 3, 2017. That’s the day that Venus arrived in Aries, initiating a story around value, power, and relationships that we dug into over April and May. Now in June our relationships may be in a very different place. We’re in a different place and thus how we interact with each other is different, hopefully reflecting new growth and maturity.
With Venus in Taurus, we’re now in a phase of creation and manifestation. Taurus is the first earth sign. We planted seeds while Venus was in Aries and we wait for them to take root and bloom in Taurus.
Also I wanted to add a note about Mars in Cancer after a conversation I had with a friend yesterday. Cancer, as the first water sign, is very primal with its emotions. Think of a mother’s instinct about her children, for example. And since Mars also functions on a primal level, bringing a heat and restlessness to a sign, our emotions may be bubbling over now. We may feel anger or rage (Mars) that feels very raw, instinctual, and even infantile (Cancer).
If something is coming up for you, it may be very rooted not only in the past, but in your earliest experiences with home and family. Make sure you let it go. Even if you have to cry it out, it’s too old to hold on to.
