Mercury, right behind the Libra Sun, meets up with the South Node of the Moon, an energy that is not unlike an eclipse. Conversations may feel fated or have a deep connection to the past. We have the potential to make a choice that releases us from the past.
First the Sun, now Mercury crosses the South Node of the Moon. If the Sun is the vitality of the sky, the light that shines for all of us, then Mercury is about thoughts, choices, and decisions. Which way do we go? Is it a left or a right? It’s possible that we’re making major choices this week, decisions that impact our lives into the days and weeks to come.
Seeing how the South Node references the past, it’s not a time to be impulsive, but instead to look at everything through the lens of our history. There may be an attachment that we need to revise. Or a connection that needs a second look. All in order to make space for something new.
Keep in mind that this is right before Mercury and the Sun square Pluto in Capricorn. There’s another dynamic to consider. Pluto helps us to see our unconscious and hidden motivations. It’s not enough to make an important decision now. We have to see our part in the past, even if we haven’t wanted to accept it.
