Mercury in Aries gets support from Pluto today, a sextile that is an opportunity for conversations that reveal hidden information, or present a deeper message. Mercury and Pluto are known to be able to deftly navigate psychological themes and material.
To me, Mercury in aspect to Pluto, especially in a supportive aspect like at trine or sextile, can be as sharp as a hawk, as the saying goes. While sextiles (60 degrees between two planets) are a bit more low-key than trines (120 degrees), they carry the energy of Venus, which means they are great for negotiation and compromise.
With the Moon in Gemini today, we may feel as though conversations are direct and to the point, although a little emotional with Mars still in Cancer.
Just a heads up. Mercury will go retrograde in a little over a week, pivoting direction at 9 Aries on March 15. It joins Venus in tracing a path between Aries and Pisces. With Mercury extending its sextile to Pluto throughout March, we have a longer opportunity to use this for negotiation and compromise as well as research and discovery.
Mercury is also the ruler of next week’s lunar eclipse, which means that it is directing the energy of the eclipse. Yes, we’re in eclipse season, that time every six months when the curtain comes down on one act and the curtain comes up on another.
