Last day of Pluto in Capricorn. At least for now. We’re wrapping up a 16-year cycle this year. But we’re also preparing to examine, deconstruct, and transmute something new as Pluto arrives in Aquarius tomorrow. We’re in a shift of eras.
Every planet in astrology serves a symbolic function. For example, the Sun is the self. Mars is our power, activating our motivations and desires. Jupiter opens up our eyes to the world and inspires us to travel and educate ourselves. But Pluto? It speaks of a real need to work at the deepest levels of ourselves as well as our souls.
Thus is the necessity of Pluto, the imperative of holding the mirror to ourselves, both individually and collectively. What will we see? (Read Pluto in Aquarius: Sign by Sign.)
Through this work of Pluto, we transform through rebuilding and reconstructing. We transmute by bringing an emotion, an energy, a facet of our lives from a lower state into a higher state. We turn shadows into light … the shadows of unconsciousness into consciousness.
We need some time to feel into Pluto in Aquarius. Then again, we may already see where an aspect of our lives is beginning to profoundly shift. When the Sun enters Aquarius on January 20 as well, we now have a spotlight on this new chapter.
Pluto enters Aquarius on January 20, 2024. It reenters Capricorn September 1, 2024 and leaves Capricorn for good on November 19, 2024.
If you are in AUSTRALIA or NZ, this forecast applies approximately for January 20-22, 2024.
