The Capricorn Sun meets up with Pluto, a powerful rendezvous that brings a rebirth. Pluto, an evolutionary planet, often shows us the things we don’t want to see about ourselves and others. It’s a day to turn shadows into light and to tear down old structures.
Crazy to think that, after all these years, this is the second to last time that the Sun and Pluto conjunct in Capricorn. After next January’s conjunction, that’s it for another 250 years. (Yep!) Pluto moves so slowly that it hasn’t changed signs in 14 years.
We have to go back to 2008 to get a sense of the shift in collective and personal narrative that Pluto can bring. If you are a Capricorn, Aries, Cancer, or Libra, you likely know exactly what I’m talking about. Life hasn’t been the same in the past decade. The years between 2008 and 2012 may have coincided with powerful and lasting changes.
What happens when Pluto changes signs on March 23, going into Aquarius for the first time since the 1780s and 1790s? Hard to say. This is one of the only times in our lives that we’ll experience it. But what we can expect is that whatever area of our life that Aquarius governs over will profoundly start to change.
After all, Pluto demands evolution.
Mercury also changes directions today, turning direct at 8 Capricorn. Fresh on the heels of Mars Direct in Gemini, it’s possible that we’re navigating major life decisions or larger questions about direction, commitment, and integrity. We may get the clarity that we’ve been searching for.
If you are in AUSTRALIA or NZ, this forecast applies approximately for January 19, 2023.
