The Moon crosses into Taurus, a reminder that Venus, its ruler, is newly in Aquarius. If Taurus is what we invest in as well as the resources we need in order to create material stability, Aquarius provides us with vision. It’s also a need for friends and community.
There’s also a strong sense of structure and organization today. Both Taurus and Aquarius help the Sagittarius Sun to put things in their place, to think about the bigger picture. We also may feel the need to focus on our health and wellness.
When Venus arrived in Aquarius on December 7, it began to make a conjunction to Pluto in Aquarius and an opposition to Mars in Leo. As a result, there’s a tension this week that may be showing up in a relationship or interpersonal dynamic, a struggle for power and control. Pluto says that we have to look beneath the surface and face or acknowledge what is truly at the root of this tension.
Let’s not forget that we’re in the early stages of a new era. Pluto is now in Aquarius, a sign it will remain in for the next 20 years. (A sign that it has not been in for 250 years.) Pluto isn’t the only outer planet making moves. In 2025, both Uranus and Neptune switch signs, arriving in Gemini and Aries respectively — more indications that next year is a larger pivot point with the outer planets changing signs so closely together.
