Mars is on the move, returning to its home sign of Aries, a powerful ignition for new beginnings, renewal, and action. Mars also arrives in a sign of a recent solar eclipse and will act as a catalyst in the coming days and weeks for its potent energies.
A new moon is a seed and the April 8 solar eclipse was, fundamentally so, an Aries New Moon. Here we are, three weeks later, and now that seed has the energies of Mars in Aries. Mars is strong in Aries; it’s in the sign that it rules, acting as a force that will ignite us, drive us, inspire us, and make us impatient and short tempered in equal measures.
As an astrologer, I’m always watching the energy in the sky, looking for activation points, points where threads of time intersect and ignite. What I have been saying to my clients and to myself is that we may have to wait until May to see what the eclipses of March and April are all about. (Read Mars in Aries: Sign by Sign.)
Over the last six weeks, Mars has been in Pisces, a place of rest and reflection for a planet that normally wants to take charge. All that will begin to change.
I spoke about this in my Facebook Live for the astrology of April 29-May 5, 2024. You can watch the replay on YouTube and Spotify.
If you are in AUSTRALIA or NZ, this forecast applies approximately for May 1, 2024.
