The Moon wraps up its stay in Gemini, a sign that has things to do and likes to rush around. With Mercury Retrograde in Pisces, however, we’re encouraged to take it more slowly and revisit past choices and decisions, especially events from early February.
We start the week with a Gemini Moon, one that highlights conversations, information, ideas, and movement. Always curious, a Gemini Moon needs something to read and learn. Since it’s the first quarter moon, too, we’re weighing options and making choices.
The Moon arrives in Taurus, picking up on a square between Venus and Pluto, two planets that can be a little obsessive, magnetic, and seductive. Pluto also speaks to the shadow and we may be navigating hidden motives and power dynamics.
We’re coming off a Leo Full Moon, one that put a certain part of our lives in the spotlight. We’ve also got some Chiron energy to work through, Venus crosses the Lunar Nodes, Mercury turns retrograde, and Mars arrives in Capricorn!

Mercury and Venus switch signs this week, arriving in Pisces and Aries respectively, which means that the astro weather is shifting. Plus, we have a Leo Full Moon on February 9 at 2:33 am EST, 20 degrees Leo.
Mercury arrives in Pisces as the Moon switches into Gemini. Normally the quick witted and even quicker thinking Gemini Moon plays off well with the Aquarius Sun. Yes, it’s a day for big creative ideas, but we also need to get in touch with our intuition.
Last day of Mercury in Pisces, a sign that it’s spent the last nine weeks in, which means that we’re wrapping up our Mercury Retrograde story. It’s a day to tie up loose ends and complete something that began on February 10.
A Virgo Moon kicks the week off, which naturally wants us to get organized, make a to-do list, and stay on schedule. Use the day to take care of practical matters, including tidying up. Mercury is still in Pisces, though. So we’re still feeling a little sluggish.
Another Capricorn Moon day, one that gets serious with us as it approaches Saturn, Pluto, and the South Node of the Moon. Where do we need to be the leader? The adult? There’s something we can’t avoid today. Make sure you do the right thing.
The Moon’s in Virgo today and it’s all about the practical details of life — staying organized, taking care of our responsibilities … even the responsibilities to our health. With Mercury in Pisces, make sure you’re tending to emotional health as well as physical.
