Happy Pisces New Moon! This is the time in the lunar calendar when we reach the end of the zodiac. Pisces is the world beyond this world — our dreams, intuition, and spirituality. Over the coming weeks, we’re prioritizing emotional connection and our humanity. The new moon is exact on February 23, 2020 at 10:32 am EST, 4 degrees Pisces. That’s 7:32 am Los Angeles, 3:32 pm London, 2:32 am Sydney on February 24, and 4:32 am Auckland.

New moons are new beginnings, a time to renew ourselves, turning a page to a new chapter, one that’s infused with the energies of Pisces, which is not only the last sign of the zodiac, but the last water sign. It’s feelings and emotions. It’s compassion and forgiveness. It’s seeing ourselves in others as well as understanding the pain of others. It’s a return to the cosmic womb and its waters so that we can be reborn again in Aries.

If the zodiac is the wheel of life, the coming weeks of the lunar month is a reminder to let go and rest. Maybe we’re feeling like we want to daydream more or meditate. Since Pisces is the bridge between this world and the next, it’s also a lunar month to nourish our spiritual lives and search for deeper meaning and connection.

There’s an otherworldliness to this new moon, as if we’re caught in a dream over the coming weeks. Between Mercury retrograde in Pisces as well as Neptune in Pisces, we’re floating. Plans may fall through and, instead, we’re caught in the tide of life, the waters taking us elsewhere.

In the chart of the new moon we find Jupiter, the ruler of the new moon, sextile Neptune. While sextiles are not always easily noticeable, they infuse the coming weeks with an energy of magic, bringing aid from unexpected sources. It invites us to go with the flow because the flow will lead us to undiscovered places.

As much as we’re floating this month, Jupiter’s still in Capricorn, the sign of matter and manifestation. With that in mind, it’s a lunar month to dream, but also vision what we want to create in our lives. We’re in the between times. And, when the Sun moves into Aries on March 19, especially with Mars in Capricorn, we’re ready to bring our dreams into reality.

So, enjoy the magic. Hope, dream, and wish. Let go of what no longer serves you. Heal what needs to be healed. Rest and reflect. Come Aries Season, it’s a new story.
