As I mentioned yesterday, the Sun is coming up on its annual line up with Pluto, a time when the light of creation meets the Lord of the Underworld. When these two planets merge, it’s an intense examination of ourselves as well as our unconscious projections.
When Pluto arrived in Capricorn in January 2008, it commenced a deep purge and transmutation of the material world. True, we’ve seen the world shift dramatically. But on a personal level, there’s an area of your life that has demanded total transformation.
Keep an eye on tempers today. With the Moon in Aries stirring up some intense energy courtesy of Pluto and Uranus, diplomacy and tact aren’t exactly where we’re at right now. Then again, Mars and Venus are over in Pisces. Time to let it go.
Mercury, coming to the end of its retrograde, dipped back into Sagittarius today. As a result, we’re revisiting decisions, ideas, and events from late November. Mercury in Sag can be a bit opinionated, too. What needs a fresh perspective? Less judgement?
Venus, the planet of beauty, value, and love, arrived in Pisces today. In classical astrology parlance, Venus is exalted in Pisces, which is to say she’s quite comfortable in the sign of art, music, and spirituality. In fact, you could say she does her best work in Pisces.
We started off the new year with a conjunction of Mars and Neptune in Pisces, a sort of listless slash spiritually existential line up. Maybe you were a little hungover, but in its highest expression it means our actions are fused with the energy of compassion.
Happy new year! Phew, what a year 2016 was. Up was down and down was up. If we learned anything from the astrology it’s that even though Uranus and Pluto finished their epic squares between each other, we’re still feeling the aftershocks.
