We’re in the last day of Cancer season and boy has it been a ride. Cancer is a sign that touches on primal experiences — basic emotional needs, feelings, safety, security, memories, care. Pluto and Uranus’s heavy hand has shaken us to the core.
Yesterday’s Capricorn Full Moon capped off a difficult lunar month that began on July 4. We’ve seen our darkness, our demons, and now it’s time to make a break. With the full moon square Uranus, we’re caught between flashes of insights and a push to separate.
This powerful lunar month will come a head tomorrow with the Capricorn Full Moon. If the new moon seeds our energetic and holographic reality, then the full moon is its potential realized, like a branch heavy with fruit … or a spark turned into a blazing fire.
On July 4 we started a caustic lunar month that promised to show us our fears, the parts of ourselves that we’d rather not look at. Falling opposite Pluto, the new moon said that over the coming four weeks we’d be doing a lot of soul searching.

The past week has been tense to say the least. If astrology tells us what time it is then the new moon last Monday pointed the clock toward themes of shadow, messy truths, and a profound state of death and rebirth.
I’m having one of those days when I don’t know what to say. It’s not that there isn’t something interesting to share about today’s astrology, but it seems a little myopic to talk about the Sun and Pluto, Venus and Chiron when the world is clearly on fire.
We’ve got a line up of powerhouse astrology today. First, the Sun and Mercury make an opposition to Pluto, something that make us face an ugly truth, see something dragged from the shadows, the underbelly. It could be our darkness, the collective’s … or both.
