The Sun and Jupiter align in Scorpio, giving us new opportunity to explore and create deeper emotional connection. As the sign of intimacy, Scorpio invites us to open up and reveal the hidden parts of ourselves. Be generous with your love and what you have to share.
I also want to talk about how there’s been some hoopla about this so called “luckiest” day of the year, the day that the Sun conjuncts Jupiter. True, Jupiter is what’s called a “benefic” in astrology, which is an archaic way of saying it’s a planet that bestows good fortune. But Jupiter is a bit more complex than that. It’s the planet of faith, freedom, and the push to explore new lands and new ideas, all in a quest to discover something about ourselves and how we see the world. Jupiter can be blindly optimistic, too.
But Jupiter gives us more of something and right now it’s giving us more of Scorpio. That’s more emotional intensity, that’s more of life and death and rebirth themes. Is that lucky? Ask a Scorpio.
Jupiter in Scorpio is the freedom to talk about death, taboo subjects, and even our secret shame. It understands that currency and power comes in many forms. Jupiter in Scorpio is generous with its wealth and resources. We experience the good fortune of Jupiter when we share with others because Scorpio is a sharing sign. And maybe that’s the real luck of Jupiter in Scorpio, the gift of life as well as the gift of death and the promise of a rebirth.
Jupiter will be in Scorpio until November 8, 2018.
