We’re in the dark of the moon, the final days in the lunar cycle before the new lunar month. We reflect, intuit, shed, and prepare. Come tomorrow, we’ll turn our sights toward Aquarius, kicking off a month centered on community, equality, science, and the collective.
Not only is Aquarius’s job to get us to connect to something bigger than us — the collective, the needs of the group over the individual — but it inspires us to look toward the future. How can we improve on what we’ve already built? How can we innovate upon existing ideas and beliefs? Aquarius is both the humanitarian and the radical, the progressive and the intellectual. It helps us understand connection on something that transcends race and borders. But we have to make sure that we’re not so far zoomed out that over intellectualize to the point of losing our empathy.
So when we start the Aquarius lunar month, it’s up to us to think big and create something that will serve all of humanity. We’ll need friends, community, and camaraderie to make it happen.
