Venus, coming to the last leg of its retrograde journey, dipped into Pisces yesterday, a sign that it’s much more comfortable in than Aries. In Pisces, Venus marries charm and grace with Pisces’s sensitivity and magnetism. But Venus is retrograde. Everything has to be revalued.
That’s the thing about Venus Retrograde. As the planet of beauty, relationships, and money, it’s time to step back and reassess, it’s time to rework old interpersonal patterns. It’s a deep meditation on value, including self worth. We have to take inventory at all forms of currency in our lives.
On a personal note, I noticed a few things while Venus was in Aries. I kept attracting these strong entrepreneurial women into my orbit. Although a typically caution people against assigning gender to planets, Venus is women on an archetypical level. In Aries, Venus takes on the characteristics of Mars. She has learn to be courageous, bold, take action, and compete. In classical terms, Venus is in its detriment in Aries; it has to express itself in a sign that doesn’t come naturally. But my big takeaway from Venus Retrograde in Aries, as a woman, was the power — and the value — around learning to be brave and say “no” when no needed to be said.
Now Venus is in Pisces, taking us back through themes and threads from late January. Venus is exalted in Pisces, taking on the generosity and faith of Jupiter. But note that Venus will station right on Chiron, a point of deep psychic and emotional sensitivity, and square Saturn. Whatever lingering relationship issue or thorny knot around value will need to be addressed in the run up to next week. Venus will station direct on April 15 at 26 Pisces.
