The Sun makes its annual opposition to Chiron, a time when old wounds may come to the surface for healing and resolution. As a result, it may be an emotional day. Have the courage to move on. Chiron reminds us that our actions inspire healing for others.
Chiron is a newer addition to astrology, only discovered in 1977, nearly 50 years ago. While a mere asteroid in the eyes of astronomers, it has come to represent an emotional or spiritual pain point that we must heal, whether that pain is personal or collective. The Sun’s opposition is a demand for us to look at ourselves, to heal anything that doesn’t allow us to shine or be ourselves. It’s a reminder that Chiron’s symbol is a key. When we have the courage to be ourselves, it’s the medicine that not only inspires others, but helps us to heal something very deep. Note that this is the last opposition between the Sun and Chiron in Aries. We’re wrapping up a healing story that began in April 2018 and again in February 2019. Chiron will enter Taurus on April 17, 2027.
