Venus in Leo picks up a trine from Neptune in Aries, a combination that is known for glamor and magnetic beauty, something we can reach for today. If not beauty, then perhaps we may benefit instead from Venus and Neptune’s love and big-hearted generosity.
That said, the Moon’s in Cancer today, a Moon that stirs nostalgia and memory as well as a need for comfort and care. Our family may need our attention today, especially with Mercury still square Saturn. There’s a demand for us to honor our commitments to those we love and care for.
Something that I had my eye on as an astrologer, but it got a little lost in everything else that was going on with the Gemini New Moon was Mars at 20 degrees of Taurus. This is a technical point, but it’s important because 20 Taurus is exactly square the degree of the upcoming Leo solar eclipse at 20 degrees.
Mars is an instigator and a catalyst, and we may be seeing elements of the upcoming eclipse in our experiences this week, especially if the August eclipse is important to our own astrology. (Note that Mars will get to 28 Taurus around June 27, which squares that February 17 solar eclipse degree. Something to keep an eye on.)
Join me this week, on June 18 at 8pm ET, for a free one-hour introduction to Energetic Sciences, the study of energy, consciousness, and the weft — the sixth element. In this introduction, we’ll get our first introduction to the weft, the fabric of reality, and do a guided exercise at the end to begin to feel the weft with our hands. Recorded for replay. Learn more and register.
This introduction will open us to a level one course that I will be teaching online the weekend of June 27-28, from 11am to 5pm ET both days. Recorded for replay. Hosted by Mercia Academy in Switzerland. Learn more and register.
If you are in AUSTRALIA or NZ, this forecast applies approximately for June 17, 2026.
