Welcome to the Aries Full Moon, the time in the lunar calendar when the spotlight is on the first sign of the zodiac, a sign of action and forward movement, new beginnings and renewal. With the power of Mars, its ruler, Aries initiates and motivates. The full moon is exact on October 6, 2025 at 11:47 pm ET, 14 degrees Aries-Libra. That’s 8:47 pm Los Angeles, 4:47 am London on October 7, 5:47 pm Johannesburg, 9:27 pm New Delhi, 2:47 pm Sydney, 4:47 pm Auckland.
Full moons are decision points. They can bring events. The seeds planted two weeks before at the time of the new moon have now come to fruition. And in the light of the full moon a part of our lives steps into center stage. We must take action.
Today’s Aries Full Moon comes two weeks after a solar eclipse in Virgo. Which means that the seeds we planted are part of an arc that will take us into February 2026. If Virgo is about planning and organization, then Aries is the execution.
There isn’t a lot of subtlety to this full moon. It’s supercharged, laying bare our desires, our needs, our wants. With the power of the recent solar eclipse, the full moon will mark new chapters and push us out of inaction or even complacency.
The full moon also occurs in a sign that Saturn recently occupied (and will return to in four months). If Saturn is our priorities and what we have to work at, then Aries will be our primary focus throughout 2026 and 2027. Although separate events, the full moon and Saturn in Aries feel tied together and there may be key themes at the full moon that we will return to next year.
What makes this full moon very powerful is that its ruler, Mars, is located in its own sign of Scorpio, which is to say that Scorpio receives the energy of the full moon and keeps it. New beginnings wrapped in transformation. Inner discoveries that fuel a need to restart and head off in a new direction. What is hidden may come to light.
Scorpio isn’t a light sign, but it is an important sign. It requires that we all look deep within so as to face ourselves. It is through this inner alchemy that we can cultivate the wisdom, a spark or a flame of light born from our time in Scorpio.
Finally, with Mars making a supportive trine Jupiter in Cancer, we ultimately have an opportunity to open up, find connection with others, and revitalize our relationship to home and family.
