Mercury makes moves as we start the week, leaving Pisces for Aries. If Pisces is the end of the zodiac, Aries is the beginning. The planet of communication, curiosity, and choice brings its energies to a sign that is about action and the renewal of life.
When a planet changes signs it is important to pay attention to because it moves the energy in the sky, like moving a chess piece. Sometimes the planet is “weakened” by its move. Other times it is “strengthened”. While Mercury gains no particular strength in Aries, it does move things around. And Mercury activates Aries, a cardinal sign that can bring a flash of energy and new beginnings this week.
Mercury is also the “ruler” of the Virgo South Node and the upcoming lunar eclipse in Virgo on March 14. Look for news this week, news that may foretell or directly connect to events on or around the lunar eclipse.
Additionally, as the planet of voice and communication, conversations may be spirited, information may be pointed and even rapid. Mercury in Aries has been known to be brash and impatient. But it also has the courage to lead, using its voice to inspire.
