Venus prepares to turn retrograde, taking the baton from Mars, which recently completed its retrograde. Like Mars, Venus is a planet that reveals our day-to-day lives. It is a review of what we love, how we connect, and what we invest time and money in.
Considering that Mars and Venus do not turn retrograde very often (every two years for Mars, every 18-months for Venus), the start of our year has been through a lens of reflection and reconsideration. With Mars, we’ve had to take a second look at our relationship with power, desire, and action. Venus, on the other hand, turns our attention to our social and material lives.
Don’t be surprised if an old flame turns up in March, a chance to clear the air or patch things up. For some, it’s necessary closure or a reminder of a past pattern best left in the past. But for many of us, our time with Venus Retrograde is a reevaluation of the people in our lives and an opportunity to make changes, create new balance, and clean out toxic dynamics.
A reminder that we’re in eclipse season and two weeks away from a lunar eclipse and four weeks away from a solar eclipse, two inflection points that will bring shifts and changes. That’s what eclipses do. And we experience eclipses every six months, so they are a regular occurrence. But they are some of the most important astrology to pay attention to. They mark personal achievements and milestones, marriages and births, moves and career changes.
