It’s the dark of the moon, the last few days in the lunar month before a new moon. In this case, it’s the day before the Pisces New Moon, a time to rest, to go inward, and to integrate our experiences since the previous new moon on January 29.

Tomorrow’s Pisces New Moon is the official start of eclipse season, initiating a month that will bring us to a lunar eclipse on March 14 followed by a solar eclipse and a new lunar month and cycle on March 29. As I’ve been reminding us all, eclipses are an inflection point in the astrology that occur every six months, a catalyst for personal events and new directions. The last such inflection point was September-October 2024. Before that, March-April 2024.

Even though the March 14 eclipse will be in Virgo, we can’t forget that the North Node of the Moon is in Pisces, Virgo’s opposing sign. Pisces and Virgo are the helping and healing signs. Pisces is healing of the spirit; Virgo is healing of the body. They are both opposite and complementary. They support each other.

The North Node in Pisces means that we are all reaching towards Pisces as an energy and archetype. And yet with Saturn in Pisces, there is an ongoing work to do in learning about peace, tolerance, and compassion. Admittedly not easy work.

Use the dark of the moon to meditate and get quiet, listening intuitively for the signs and threads of the story that the eclipses will weave for you.

I’m doing a two-hour live presentation, The Eclipses of March 2025, on March 5 at 8pm ET, a deeper look at what eclipses are and what they will mean for you. Recorded for replay. In it, I’ll be discussing why eclipses are some of the most important astrology to pay attention to and what it means for each of the signs. Learn more and register.

If you are in AUSTRALIA or NZ, this forecast applies approximately for February 27, 2025.
