Welcome to Capricorn Season. The Sun arrived in the 10th sign of the zodiac this past weekend, bringing us into a season governed by the planet Saturn. In Capricorn we feel the energies of time as well as the lives we’ve built and the people we’ve become.
It’s not a coincidence that we typically make an assessment this time of year. We set intentions and resolutions for the things we want to change. Capricorn and Saturn help them to become real, to become the foundation of something new.
This week we’ve got a lot of Saturn in the mix. Jupiter in Gemini makes a square to Saturn tomorrow, December 24, and then later this week Mercury in Sagittarius makes a square to Saturn, on December 27. Square energy creates friction. It’s the energy of manifestation, whether that manifestation is a decision or an important conversation or a realization that demands to be made real.
Perhaps a more sobering end to the year. Or at least a reflective one.
We’ve got lots to think about as we go into 2025, a year that has a few notable if not unusual changes. In it, three outer planets change signs, one after the other, not unlike hands on the clock pointing to new hours. 2025 the start of a new era.
Last week I did a 3-hour presentation on The Astrology of 2025, which gave an overview of the year ahead as well as a sign-by-sign guide. Get the replay video in the link below.
Finally, the Capricorn Sun squares with the Lunar Nodes today, which brings a ripple of eclipse energy from the solar eclipse of October 2, 2024. It’s also a preview of themes or events to come during the next eclipse on March 29, 2025. Take note.
If you are in AUSTRALIA or NZ, this forecast applies approximately for December 24, 2024.
