Yesterday’s Gemini Full Moon not only lit up the skies, but it illuminated a key area of our lives. With Mercury square Saturn, we’re navigating serious choices and duties, a call for accountability, a need to share and express how we truly feel.

Full moons are felt in the run up. They can coincide with a pressure to act or notable personal events. Although yesterday’s full moon has passed, its energies are still with us. Mercury is now direct, giving clarity to recent events and conversations. Perhaps we needed to wait until today to make that choice or have that conversation. (Read Gemini Full Moon: Choose Wisely.)

The irony to this week is that as strong as Saturn’s energies are, a planet that gives the weight of responsibility as well as sobering clarity, so are Neptune’s. Saturn and Neptune couldn’t be more different. If Saturn is our material and physical world, what we can see, touch, touch, and rationalize, then Neptune is our non-material world, pulling back the veil, dissolving Saturn’s hard edges with a gossamer-like fog.

Neptune is an evolutionary planet. And its square to the Sun into Wednesday as well as the energies of the full moon mean that something has to evolve this week. Perhaps its how we think and communicate, how we listen and empathize with others. Neptune can be very emotional. It can make our dreams more vivid, our intuition stronger. Use Saturn’s energies this week as an anchor, a pragmatic check for the feelings and sensations that Neptune may be amplifying.

It’s also the last week of Sagittarius Season, which means we are almost to the solstice, a time to celebrate the rebirth of the light here in the northern hemisphere.
