The Sun conjuncts Uranus in Taurus. It’s another powerful page turn in our ongoing story of reinvention. Our lives have greatly changed over the past few years. What we own, value, and even our relationship with our bodies has radically shifted.
The story about Uranus that I like to tell is a personal story. At the start of 2018 I was still in my IT day job, hanging onto the stability of the life it afforded even though it was not what was in my soul. While I was doing astrology as a side hustle, I had gotten stuck in my own fears of making the leap of self employment.
Uranus had other ideas and by May 2018, when Uranus first entered Taurus, my work life was in the midst of a big shakeup. By March 2019, when Uranus returned again to Taurus, I was saying goodbye to a 20 year career in order to live my purpose.
Maybe when you look back to 2018-2019, you see a similar story. Or maybe Uranus has been more of an internal or ideological shift. Nevertheless, at the core of Uranus’s archetypical energy is for us to be true to who we are and what we came here to do. And if we are stuck or in our way or playing small, Uranus is very happy to help. Even if it means turning everything upside down. (Want a refresh of what this means for you? You often see Uranus at play in the astrology of people who make major shifts (often in midlife; the Uranus opposition, one of the major midlife transits, occurs at 42-43). You also see Uranus’s at play in the astrology of people who have awakenings or out-of-left-field life changing experiences. Although change can be scary, it’s often getting us back to our Master Plan.
Look back on your life the past couple of years. Connect the dots. Where are you seeing a reinvention. Where are you resisting a change that’s long been overdue? Today’s astrology will be different things for different people. Either it’s the freedom to go off in a new direction or a jolt that helps us to get unstuck.
