Happy Aquarius Full Moon! This is the time of the year when we shine a light on friendships, camaraderie, community, connection, and humanitarian ideals. Aquarius is also a future oriented sign. What are our hopes and dreams? Our wish for something better? The full moon will be exact on July 31, 2015 at 6:43 am EDT, 7 degrees Aquarius/Leo. For those further afield, that’s 3:43 am LA, 11:43 am London, and 8:43 pm Sydney.
After months of complicated full moons, one after the other, this one is thankfully straight forward and asks a simple question — where do you belong? Aquarius is the sign that teaches that, however weird and alienated we can feel at times, our tribe is out there somewhere. So, how do we find them?
Full moons always have an urgency to them. It’s a critical time to pivot, make a decision, and see things for what they are. With that in mind, we may have a decision to make about our future. Or we may feel a push to connect with friends or people who share our vision. And seeing how Aquarius is a sign so passionate about going against the grain or embracing its inner weirdo, you may feel compelled to step out of the norm and follow your own truth in the coming days.
When we look to the ruler of Aquarius to discover what this full moon has in store for us, we find Saturn at 28 Scorpio. In fact Saturn has come to a halt and will turn direct on August 2. When a planet makes something called a station, it’s powerful. And Saturn stationing in Scorpio?? This full moon will be a major referendum on all the work we’ve done since Saturn arrived in Scorpio in October 2012. What are your fears? What’s the hidden message? Who has power? Who doesn’t have power? How can you be brutally real with yourself? Is it time to let go?
I like that Mars is forming a loose grand water trine with Chiron and Saturn. It says that however much it hurts when we look into Scorpio’s darkness, there’s a powerful healing to be had. Chiron is the knot. Mars is the scalpel. This full moon will go deep to release those knots, especially anything that is keeping you from being true to yourself, being with your people, and sharing your gifts (Leo) with the world (Aquarius).
