Fresh off a Virgo New Moon, we bid adieu to the Sun in Virgo. Tomorrow we’ll arrive in Libra, bringing us into a new season and equal parts day and night. Although we’ll be exploring Libra’s themes of beauty and relationship, we still have Virgo work to do.
Virgo and Libra actually go quite well together even though on paper it’s not supposed to work. Ruled by Venus, Libra is known for its innate sense of aesthetic, charm, and beauty. Virgo in turn gives this energy precision and an attention to detail. Touching on the Sun in Libra, our Virgo work over the coming four weeks will be centered on the people in our lives — our relationships, how we interact or partner with others — as much as it will be centered on Virgo’s attention to health and organization. We may need to clean up our social life as a result.
The Moon is also in Libra and will meet up with Jupiter, a reminder that this is their last rendezvous in the sign of Libra for another twelve years. (Jupiter spends about a year in each zodiac sign.) In fact, Jupiter’s packing its bags to leave, setting its sights on Scorpio. So the Moon’s check in today is also a check in on our year long exploration of how we relate and socialize with others. We’ve had a lot of opportunities to meet new people. Come October 10, our opportunities for growth will focus on intimacy, trust, sexuality, and wealth when Jupiter arrives in Scorpio.
