We’re on the edge of a new moon, the start of a lunar month that will refresh the narrative. Falling in the sign of Virgo, the coming four weeks will be focused on themes of work, discipline, health, wellness, and honoring intention and ritual in our daily lives.
Virgo is one of my favorite signs. (Don’t worry, you’re ALL my favorites.) There’s such a precision and attention to detail with the sign. It crafts, it seeks perfection in everything. It’s not enough to create something or have an idea, it needs practice and diligence in order for it to flourish. But Virgo, like all signs, has a shadow, and it’s important to remember that although we may seek perfection, nothing is ever truly perfect, that we must honor the details but not be consumed by them. (The Japanese practice of Kintsugi comes the mind, which is the art of filling in the cracks of broken ceramics with gold or other precious metals.)
Speaking of which, Venus will enter Virgo later today, closing out eclipse season. If Venus is what we love and value, then we’ll be valuing Virgo’s need for service, detail, craft into October. And seeing how Virgo is healing, nutrition, and fitness, the coming weeks will be perfect for taking care of our bodies and eating healthy.
