Venus is finally winding her way through the final degree of Leo after four MONTHS in the sign of creativity, performance, self expression, and romance. By comparison, Venus normally spends four weeks in a sign.
The reason Venus was in Leo so long is because she retrograded from July 25 to September 6. During that time we had to reassess the value (Venus) of our talents (Leo). We also had to look at past romances and our karma around them. While Leo is a bit of a fun, playful placement for Venus, we saw that maybe all that glitters was not gold.
Interestingly, once Venus arrives in Virgo tomorrow, October 8, at 1:28 pm EDT, she will start squaring off with Saturn, drawing a line in the proverbial sand. What have we learned during our time reassessing value? Would we rather go for the fun romance or really hold out the the solid relationship that will go the distance? Saturn is also the planet of commitment, so if you began something under Venus Retrograde, the square will be its first test.
