There’s a lot of complicated astrology happening in the skies right now. It’s easy to cherry pick one aspect over another to get a read on things, but when we do we miss out on the big picture.

I’ve seen a couple of things written about today’s alignment between Jupiter in Virgo and Pluto in Capricorn. Yes, Jupiter + Pluto tend to speak to outsized wealth and powerful opportunity. Yes, I think it’s a power day if you’re a Sag or a Pisces, but I think the reality is a bit complex … and bittersweet.

Jupiter is a big player in the astrology of March. With so many planets in Pisces, all of the energy of that stellium is getting beamed towards Virgo, the sign opposite Pisces. I realize this is a bit technical, but let me break this down — there’s a major story unfolding this month between what we can touch and what we can intuit, holding on and letting go, the physical body and the light body, practical service and spiritual service, criticalness versus compassion. Keep in mind that Virgo and Pisces are two signs that are generally selfless and invested in the welfare and wellbeing of others and the collective.

On top of all that, we’re in the space between two eclipses — the Pisces solar eclipse last Tuesday, March 8, and the Libra lunar eclipse on March 23. The energy right now is amped. It’s weird. It’s magical. Throw in Jupiter trine Pluto and it’s all cranked up to 11.

Eclipse season is intense. Sudden events tend to happen. We decide to make a left (or a right) turn in our lives. Jobs ends. Maybe you heard about an accident, too. Eclipses punctuate our lives.

Nevertheless, I think we’re really seeing what this eclipse is about this week. Things are moving in our lives no matter if we like it or not. With all the planets in Pisces, make sure you’re setting aside to to feel, to listen to spirit, and intuit the next direction you’ll be taking in life.
