We’re rounding out the lunar month this week, a time when the tide ebbs and we pull back from the world to rest. It’s typically more of an internal time. Inspired by the Aquarius Sun and Sagittarius Moon today, we’re on a search for truth and meaning.
Aquarius and Sagittarius are actually two signs that have an affinity for each other. Both are driven by intellect — Aquarius by mastering the mind and Sagittarius by a passion to discover new things. But we can’t forget that Saturn, the ruler of Aquarius, is in Sagittarius and has been since 2015. We’re in a two year period, until the end of 2017, that has been marked by Saturn’s rigorous pursuit of truth. It’s also been a serious examination of how we see the world and the education that goes into building it. In its highest expression, Saturn in Sagittarius has been a time to open up to other cultures, philosophies, and religions. It’s been a time to reshape our faith.
On Friday we begin a new lunar month. Falling in the sign of Aquarius, we will be deepening our experience and relationship with freedom, openness, fraternity, friendship, and community into February.
