Sensitive Cancer Moon day that will highlight the home, family, roots, and feeling. The Moon is actually at home in Cancer, activating a need for emotional security and connection. This is often a time in the lunar month when we pull back, nest, and seek comfort.

As I was explaining over on my Twitter page a couple of days ago, the Moon is just as important as the Sun — yet often overlooked in astrology. If the Sun gives life, the Moon feeds it. We need the Moon. It gives us substance and nourishment. It brings meaning and heart to our lives.

All of us have the Moon somewhere in our chart in one of the twelve signs. When we know where our Moon is, we know how to feed and care for ourselves. For instance, I have the Moon in Gemini. I need communication, curiosity, information, and two of everything. (If you don’t know where your Moon is, look up your birth chart. Note that you’ll need your exact birth time.)

It’s also worth noting that the Moon will activate Pluto and Uranus into tomorrow, just as Mercury is making something called a conjunction to Pluto. If we’re already feeling the pressure this week due to Mercury, the Cancer Moon will kick up the feels, especially as we get ready for Saturday’s full moon.

Cancer is a reminder to take care of ourselves. It may be a warm comforting meal. It may be time spent with the people closest to us. It may be tending to our home as well.
