The Moon is in Sagittarius today, touching on a Saturn story we’ve been working through since 2015. What do we believe in? God? The afterlife? That everything is going to be okay?

It may make for heavy thoughts and a lot of soul searching, but to question ourselves and our existence is fundamental to life. And with Jupiter, Pluto, and Uranus all caught in a t-square this month, we’ve likely been doing a lot of digging.

The purpose of this energy is to push us to the next stage in our growth and evolution. Sagittarius is a sign that turns us toward the horizon and inspires us to seek out new experiences, new lands, new languages, and new cultures.

But Saturn is in Sagittarius, too. If anything, we’re not sure what to believe anymore. Our faith has been rattled. Distant lands don’t feel so safe. Saturn in Sag says that we have to question everything, even if it’s something we thought was always true. From there we build new truths and strengthen old ones.

Keep this in mind today. We’re coming to the end of the year, a time when we’re already doing a lot of soul searching and trying to figure out what things mean. And under the gaze of Saturn, we have to define it, commit to it. Read up on philosophy, take time to reflect, look up toward the horizon.

PS — I’m dedicating this post to Tricia. May she find peace in the stars. My prayers are with her and her family at this time.
