Happy Monday! Let’s talk about Sagittarius and Jupiter, its ruling planet.
December is, for the most part, Sag season. When the Sun is in Sagittarius, we naturally experience the world through the lens of faith, pilgrimages, travel, wisdom, philosophy, and abundance. People who have a strong Sag or Jupiter in their chart need freedom and need to explore the world. (Take note of Sag’s shadow side though — self righteousness, intolerance, and ideological fanaticism.)
There’s a natural exuberance to fiery Sag, a faith that everything will work out in the end. And, just like its ruling planet Jupiter, Sag likes things big.
Keep this in mind as today the Sun and Jupiter square off with each other. Have we bitten off more than we can chew? Are things a bit excessive at the moment? Have we overdone it? (Maybe we overdid it this weekend?) How big is our faith? Our ego? Are we a bit self righteous at the moment?
As Jupiter is in Virgo for the next six months, we need to clean up our excesses. We need to detox, get organized, and put our faith into practical action. This is a bit of a sobering influence on Jupiter, not unlike Saturn’s critical eye over Sag. Then again, Sagittarius will always love a good time. Preferably in a foreign country, soaking up the scenery.
