Although the solar eclipse was last week, we’re still in its potent energies of change; the story is still unfolding. In fact Mars, rounding out its stay in Leo, will activate the solar eclipse degree on September 3, setting events in motion.

Solar eclipses coincide with new beginnings, new phases of life. Occurring every six months, they move us into new directions and create a specific framework of energy that we live through until the next round of eclipses. With the solar eclipse in Leo, the next six months will lean heavily on themes of identity, how we express who we are, and what we share of ourselves. If you don’t know who you are, time to take a look within. Let’s not forget that we had a lunar eclipse in Aquarius on August 7. In contrast to Leo, we’ll also be working through shadow themes in friendships, community, and group dynamics.
